We started Your Empowering Solutions (Y.E.S.) because we were shocked at the lack of good, effective, outpatient treatment programs available to people wanting to quit drinking. For whatever reasons people have, if they don't want a 12-step program, there are few good choices left to them. Y.E.S. offers people a real alternative to 12-step programs. We use state-of-the-art counseling treatment protocols combined with effective, anti-craving medication designed to bring about real, meaningful change in a person's life. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in our counseling that is specifically designed to bring about behavioral change. We build in long term support and design the program around our clients interests, strengths and abilities. Our counseling is not a one-size-fits-all.

Changing one's behavior is not an quick and easy thing to do. People need intensive support in the first few months, and they need to find motivating alternatives to the behaviors they are trying to replace. We know how to facilitate this process.

Another reason we started our own practice was that we saw very few outpatient treatment centers where we, ourselves, would have felt comfortable as clients. Many programs' physical locations made us uncomfortable or their staffs did or both! Consequently, we located our offices in an upscale suburb, in an office complex where clients can feel safe and comfortable. We are professionals and we act like it, too. Our office is very comfortable and professional. We believe clients will feel at ease visiting us.
